Volunteer Opportunities
Programs & Events
Volunteer Title: Manager of Programs
Volunteer(s) assists the vice presidents of programs and events with the chapter’s programming function, including selecting topic/speakers, site selection and more, for the Monthly Learning Meetings, Special Interest Groups (SIGS), Learning & Performance Summit (LEAPs) and Employee Learning Week; and overall meeting management and reporting.
Membership
Volunteer Title: Manager of Membership
Volunteer(s) assists the vice president of membership with managing the overall membership function including the design and implementation of programs that broaden membership engagement for the chapter, increasing membership by an identified goal, and retaining current members.
Marketing/Communication
Volunteer Title: Manager of Marketing & Communication
Volunteer(s) assist the vice president of marketing & communications with activities related to communication among the Chapter members at large, and communication with the community and other professional associations through various avenues such as print, email and social media. Additionally, this position oversees activities related to the marketing of chapter initiatives such as the Learning & Performance Summit, Employee Learning Week and Monthly Learning Meetings.
Community
All ATD San Antonio Members and training and development professionals are invited to volunteer for Suited for Success.
Suited for Success is a community service project of ATD-SA and aims to prepare residents in transitional housing with the tools to become gainfully employed. All lesson plans are prepared in advance by ATD-SA. Volunteers would be responsible for presenting the material and demonstrating the tools in each lesson.

Finance
Volunteer Title: Manager of Finance
Volunteer(s) assists the vice president of finance with administrative services but may be assigned other tasks. The vice president of finance manages the operational finances of the chapter. He/She coordinates the budget and operational issues with other board members, as well as administrative services. He/She assures that chapter operations are in compliance with ATD's Chapter Affiliation Requirements (CARE).
Student Relations
Volunteer Title: Manager of Student Relations
The manager of student relations manages and promotes student engagement within the chapter by developing and executing initiatives such as a scholarship program, internship program, college outreach efforts, and student special interest groups. Click here to read a description of the role.

Volunteer Title: Manager of Talent Management & Volunteers
The manager of talent management and volunteers oversees the chapter’s volunteer recruiting efforts, manages the matching of volunteers to volunteer opportunities, and guides the chapter’s succession planning efforts to ensure that all volunteer needs are met.
