MONTHLY LEARNING MEETING

Learning Disrupted: Lessons for Shaping the Future

Join us as panelists from three San Antonio based organizations discuss the pivots and major lessons learned from challenges brought on by the Covid pandemic of 2020. We will focus on how learning strategy disruptions were navigated and how these lessons shaped the approach for the future.

About the Panelists:

  • Gopal Singh is a program manager and a senior consultant at USAA. In his role, he has accountability for professional development, new employee orientation, and HR learning projects. Prior to assuming that role, Gopal served in the U.S Army where he managed various training programs at locations around the world to include South Korea, the Middle East, the Military Academy at West Point, and Joint Base San Antonio. He has extensive experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and performance consulting.  Gopal holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Leadership.

  • Aaron Andres started with Whataburger in 2009 as a Team Member. During this time he also tutored collegiate level mathematics, having a passion to help develop others. This passion led him to a role in the training department. He began to actively pursue a position, after working his way up to General Manager, and took his first role in training and development as a Zone Training Coordinator, working with 50 restaurants. Approximately a year later he took on the role of Whataburger University Instructor, where he has spent the last four years focusing heavily on the creation, development, and facilitation of the Restaurant Career Development Path (RCDP). The RCDP program is very important to Whataburger, as it nurtures and develops talented individuals from the position of Team Member all the way through Area Manager.

  • Rick Lozano helps people unlock potential and amplify their talent, and he does it all with his unique blend of energy, expertise, and a musician’s soul. With twenty years of experience in award-winning talent and leadership development programs, Rick brings his unique approach to audiences across the globe, combining his expertise as a world-class speaker with his talents as a singer/songwriter and musician. He is the author of the forthcoming book, Acoustic Leadership – Develop A Leadership Culture That Resonates and the owner of Unlock & Amplify®. He has built a reputation for his refreshing delivery that leaves audiences raving and - more importantly - with action items they can immediately implement to produce change.
