Happy New Year! It’s that time of the year where we all set New Year’s Resolutions to improve our health and well-being. In case you did not set one about increasing your own professional development in 2015, I have absolutely no qualms about setting one for you. Ready? Say this out loud, “I resolve to do more professional development in 2015.” Pretty simply, huh?
Our January eLearning Lunch & Learn (ELL) is an opportunity to learn more about online professional development (PD) opportunities to help you achieve your newly resolved New Year’s resolution. We want the ELL participants to share how they develop professionally.
What’s more exciting is we’ll use a social collaboration tool to collect the online professional development sites and tools that you use. Simply, bring your mobile device to the session, hook into the County Line Bar-B-Que network, and share your professional development activities on the collaboration tool. Essentially, this is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) session for you to share your informal, professional development activities with others.
Our session will be divided into two parts. The first is where we’ll collect the PD sites and tools you use. Then, during lunch, we’ll have the contributors (that would be you) discuss their tools.
Here’s the kinds of questions I want to address:
