2019 Strategic Goals

ATD San Antonio has developed a set of strategic goals which are used to inform chapter decisions and processes. The Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring that the chapter meets the intent of these goals to best serve our membership and the larger constituency of learning and development professionals.

Branding

  • Uphold our reputation and branding
  • Develop and sustain higher education connections
  • Enhance our social media: increase our presence, share strategic content, make it easier to use
  • Create more marketing videos for our YouTube Channel
  • Celebrate our 40th Birthday!
  • Have FUN!

Membership

  • Reach out to new and existing companies with memberships
  • Make corporate membership bundling easier and more convenient
  • Recognize companies with multiple members
  • Explore strategic partnerships with other local organizations
  • Increase our volunteer base
  • Show appreciation for our volunteers, members, and sponsors
  • Demonstrate the WIIFM for our volunteers
  • Recognize our members (CPLP designations, member spotlight, etc.)
  • Increase our active membership

Programs

  • Plan a variety of strategic programs (field trips, hands-on, engaging, best practices, blended learning, different levels of learners)
  • Showcase member-created content (Videos, Trainer Throwdown, Designs, etc)
  • Partner with other ATD chapters
  • Use planning committees to increase involvement (LEAPS, social media, etc.)
  • Attract more high-quality sponsors

Board Operations

  • Update our website to become the the "Go To" place for resources
  • Delegate tasks to interested volunteers
  • Succession plan for 2020 early
  • Enhance internal processes to be automated and easily replicable
  • Create standard operating procedures
  • Publish our annual operating budget
  • Fill our additional manager roles
